Downtown Development Authority (DDA)

A Downton Development Authority (DDA) is a development agency responsible for many improvements including revitalization and redevelopment in the downtown area.  The Hahira DDA was created in 2016 and consists of seven board members.

Facade Grant 
The DDA Facade Grant Program is adminstered and funded by the Downtown Development Authority of the City of Hahira.  The purpose of this grant is to aid property owners and businesses located in the DDA district interested in the rehabilitation of their exterior building facades.  To learn more, please view the Facade Grant Program Guidelines and Application or contact Ted Raker, DDA Chairman at 770-301-1059. Amnesty Day

This annual event is for City of Hahira Utility Customers Only.  Participants MUST show current utility bill to enter on the day of the event - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Only the following items will be accepted during this event:
  • Household Paints (Latex and Oil)
  • Household Cleaners
  • Cooking Oil/Grease
  • Bleaches & Chlorine (including Pool Chemicals)
  • Drain Cleaners
  • Fluorescent Bulbs
  • Automotive & Household Batteries
  • Motor Oil/Transmission Fluid/Antifreeze
  • Paint Thinners
  • Wood Strippers
  • Pesticides & Herbicides
  • Insect Sprays & Rodent Killers
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Propane & Butane Tanks
  • Electronics
  • Materials containing asbestos

Pay My Utility Bills and Online Account Access

PLEASE NOTE THAT EFFECTIVE 9/1/2022 THE "FREE" PAYMENT METHOD WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE!  

We now offer Pay by Phone AND Text to Pay!  Call 833-748-5733 anytime day or night!  Hear real-time balances, payment amounts and due date - use any credit or debit card!  

Please also be aware then when utility bills post to the account, e-mails are auto-generated to notify you of a new bill if you have an e-mail address on file.  It is not spam, the e-mails are generated by the software we use.  Another great feature now provided!  



ONLINE ACCOUNT ACCESS 

The City of Hahira is proud to offer online account access.  To sign up for this service, you will need your account number and the last payment amount, which is only needed ONE TIME for verification.  Once you create your own personal login, you no longer need to enter this information for account access.  You will be able to view your payment amount, view your usage, make payments / schedule payments ahead of time, and so much more.  There is no fee to access your account; however, there is a fee of $1.25 to make a payment using this sytem.  Once you create your account, you can go back in using your login credentials anytime day or night and retrieve your account balance and other details.  Be sure to save the login page for easy access in the future.  
***PLEASE NOTE:  When using this program, making a "payment arrangement" does not prevent your services from being disconnected in the event your payment is past due.  This simply sets a payment up in the program to draft on a specific date!***
